We get a lot of rain here in the UK and it inevitably has an impact on you in some way. It carries a myriad of different reactions – rain can be energising, depressing, relieving, sometimes quite frightening… the list goes on.

I remember one drizzly January afternoon. I was in my studio in Coventry, the radio was on and there was a steady drizzle of rain. Tears of water were landing silently on the canal and puddles were starting to gather along the pavement. With the soothing sound of rain falling I looked at the windows and the rain was making beautiful patterns as it trickled down the glass.

I remember quietly watching and just feeling in awe. Something so simple.
